Wedding Tips That Will Make Your Big Day Easier

If you’re lucky, you’ll only have to get married once and find that you’re perfectly happy with your partner. It’s a huge step to marry someone. Use these great tips in pulling together a great wedding.

As your wedding day approaches, practice walking down the aisle as many times as practicable. Do this at your actual wedding site to make sure you’re familiar with the floor there. In this way, you can be sure everything will go smoothly on your wedding day.

Use the property of someone you know. If you’re friends with someone who owns a large backyard, you can have a cheaper wedding there. Make sure you offer to hire help to prepare and to clean, though. Do not leave this up to the homeowner.

Choose a less popular month to get married if you want to save money. Traditional wedding season is from May to September. Venues are usually more expensive then. If you want to book your wedding at those times, make sure you are booking far enough in advance so you get a great deal.

Serve ethnic food at your wedding if you want to spice it up. Chicken, steak and such are served at weddings all the time. Why not do something different? Your wedding dinner can be very memorable when it includes interesting variety.

Do not under-eat in an effort to fit into your dress. All you are going to do is tire very easily and not have the energy to enjoy the big day you have been torturing yourself to plan. Fainting is a distinct possibility, and you don’t want that to happen to you! You would do better to choose a dress that has a corset back, as this allows you to adjust the fit with out the need for tailoring.

If you do not want a traditional wedding cake, consider individual-sized cakes. Many bakeries offer small tarts or mini-cakes that come in healthier options, like fresh fruit-filled, gluten-free or vegan options.

Alcohol can be a big expense at a wedding, so consider limiting the types of drinks and opt for cost efficient choices. Having an open bar may cost a lot, especially if it is available throughout the entire day. The folks running your venue may have affordable bar services, so be sure and ask them about it.

Guest Tables

Go easy on the number of fresh flowers you put on the guest tables for your wedding reception. In many cases, it will just prevent guests from talking to each other. Furthermore, one or two of your guests could be allergic to certain flowers. A romantic alternative to floral centerpieces at guest tables is the use of fragrance-free candles.

Don’t wait until your wedding day to try walking in your shoes and gown. Practice going down the aisle until you feel comfortable. Flats may be a better choice if you think you may hurt your feet. Wouldn’t you rather have mediocre-looking footwear than wearing something that could cause harm?

A wedding dress is a big expense. When you are shopping, try getting a dress that might not be traditionally thought of as one made for a wedding. A bridesmaid dress could be perfect and not as costly as a wedding dress. Remember, the dress you chose can be altered to change the styling, and the total cost will still probably be less than the cost of purchasing an official wedding dress.

When you are committing yourself to one person for a lifetime, it is important that your wedding be treated just as importantly as this commitment. So use these tips to help you plan a wedding that is uniquely yours.
